Dante Alighieri and the roofs of Florence

We have visited the town center and its immediate surroundings, with a special attention to those places who played a role in the life of  Dante Alighieri, the Middle Ages poet who settled the bases of the italian language.

We have enjoyed the panorama of Florence from two villas on the hill of Fiesole, Villa il Garofalo and Villa di Maiano.

In the first one Dante spent part of his life, the second one was the set of  “A room with a view”, directed by J. Ivory in 1986, winner of three Academy Awards

On tuesday morning the accompanying people visited  Castello del Trebbio, on the hills between Fiesole and Santa Brigida
